A Vision of a Capital City: Jaussely’s Ankara

The exhibition "‘A Vision of a Capital City: Jaussely’s Ankara" (Erimtan Archaeology and Arts Museum, March 13 - September 30, 2020) narrates the unrealized story of the "Capital" Ankara during the Early Republican Period through the lens of the professional approach of architect-urbanist Leon Jaussley. The exhibit makes use of little-known data and documents pertaining to the contemporary urban culture, planning and second master plan competition of Ankara.

Coordinated by Deniz Altay Baykan and Hatice Karaca, the exhibition is prepared through the contributions of S. Ayşegül Tokol, Burcu Balaban, Ceren Önal, Aslı Gibidir, Kubilay Yaldır, Ayşe Civaş, Eda Erol, Melike Temiz, Ayşe M. Altınsoy, H. Eylül Baylaz, Çolpan Ertem and Aylin Yazıcı.
