Hatice Karaca

Hatice Karaca graduated from the Department of Urban Design and Landscape Architecture at Bilkent University in 1997. She completed her master's degree at the program of Villes, Architecture et Patrimoine, Au Maghreb et au Proche Orient (Cities, Architecture and Cultural Heritage at North Africa and Middle East), L'Université de Paris X Nanterre and l'Ecole d'Architecture de Paris Belleville in 1999. She has publications in conference proceedings and journals on historical cities, design education and urban transformation. Her research interests focus on every scale of landscape representations, design education, participatory design in design education, evolution of historic cities and cultural heritage. In addition to her academic involvement she has also conducted several national and international workshops, and biennials, and won awards in national and international design competitions.
